Sew Paradise

bought some classics

I bought three basic cardigans today. A black cardi, to replace the Jcrew one that tore through the actual knitted fabric (it was probably 20 years old), a magenta baby cable cardi, and a coral pink cardi. I wasn’t sure about the two pink ones (that is, buying both, I loved them both), but they’re classics, and the new shape on these is cut close to the body, which I like a lot better than my former black one. I still have the black shell from the Jcrew set.

They’re classics, they’ll last a long time, and they will look good with fun printed tops and trousers. I wish I could wear them this week, but it’s a week of meetings and I have to look ultra sharp. Oh well, there’s the weekend!

I can pair the cardis with cute nursing tops, my skinny jeans and funky jewelry. And my furry winter boots, ’cause it’s bitterly cold (single digits for highs) this week. Brrr. A good weekend to stay indoors and sew!

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
