Sew Paradise

Burda holiday issue

This has got to be my favorite issue of the season. See, in Europe, people go away on Holiday in August, usually somewhere like the South of France, Italy, or Greece. It’s all about the sunshine in August in Europe.

Burda Holiday Issue! This issue doesn’t disappoint. Love everything – shirred elastic tunics, TWO, count ’em, two maxi dresses, wide leg wrap pants, wrap tops, a cardiwrap, an asymmetrical tunic, a poncho, bikini, oh my! So much to sew! Kids swimwear and sarong pants, tunics and caftans. It’s just such a great issue! Though Peanut is not big enough for the kids stuff yet.  Frankly I could sew all summer long from this one issue.

But in three weeks give or take, we move, and then it’s all curtains for me. But I make progress in the mean time. There are a few projects started over the weekend to finish so I’d better get to them!

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
