Sew Paradise

But wait, real Missoni could be mine..

that’s right, if I plunk down $100, I could get my very own sweater knits (two yards) of Missoni, actually from Italy Missoni sweater knit. It’s over at Emma One Sock, and I’m tempted, really tempted. I could make a gorgeous ruana or open cardigan with some of the lacey varieties. I do have a 10 percent coupon in one of my magazines…

But I’ve already taken home two yards of Christine Jonson’s missoni-esque (with a little M) rayon lycra knit print which will make a fab reversible hoodie sweatercoat using her Travel Trio Two pattern, lengthened at the hem.

I also took home some other lovely knits from Christine Jonson’s studio open house in Detroit two weeks ago. And I am planning to sew on my birthday weekend for sure. There’ll even be some beach time, too, never thought THAT would happen – but Indian Summer is really wonderful this year. Forecast is sunny and mid 70s all weekend. Can’t beat that the first weekend in October!

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
