Sew Paradise

Christine Jonson is having a sale…

I’ve seen these fabrics, and they are DELISH! And she’s able to offer them at a lower price. I picked up Lush Sage rayon lycra and Amber Peach rayon lycra at her studio a week ago, at the pant fitting.  I had to pass up some of the cotton lycras because of the size of my current stash!! These are the two that complement the ruana that I have.

So my commitment to spring is to sew. Sew down some stash and stay outta the stores. Because, after all, I know how my clothes should fit now, and I’m much more discriminating than I used to be! That pant fitting really opened my eyes!

On a slightly related topic, my hair got wavy after pregnancy. I know i’ve posted this before, too. But it’s looking really gorgeous right now with this spring heat & humidity. I just air dry with some aloe vera gel to support the wave and then tousel it up a bit with more gel once it’s dried. It looks modelicious, actually, like one of those hair care ads. As a girl who grew up with straight hair, this is a decidedly nice turn.

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
