Crafting disaster

So I sewed in the pocket in this sling, and realized the entire thing was too short. Plus, this quilting cotton was too thick double layered (but not suitable for single…) to go through the medium sling rings. Argh! So I’m off to the fabric store to basically start over. I’ll buy garment-weight fabric, sew the sleeve cap I prefer (hotdog method) and add the former sling fabric to the tail as a nice contrast edge.

Waah. I’m just mad right now. But i know in the end, a single layer garment fabric sling is best – she’ll be able to adjust it, and I can use the long tail for the visual accent with the printed cotton. But it’s Tuesday. We leave Friday, and in between we have to clean, shop, pack and (clearly) sew.

Ugh.
