Sew Paradise

more consignment shopping

I used my credit, a coupon, and still bought two bags full of goodies. A corduroy jacket in kelly green, very springy. Two pinstriped dress trousers, one in black, the other in gray. A cropped brown tweed pair of pants, two jeans – a basic dark denim and a black denim trouser pant. Wine short shaft boots, and a pair of dangly earrings. Yum! I so love shopping consignment – especially there. They know my name, treat me like I’m in a super fancy boutique and I still save boatloads of cash. Not to mention that I’m not wasting resources, I’m reusing someone else’s things!

They sent me home with referral coupons. I think I’ll do it one better, put my name “referred by” on the back and pass them out!

And then I came home and broke my sewing machine! Truth is I think the timing was off anyway, but the needle clicks now after a needle break. So it’s in and I’m missing it terribly.

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
