Sew Paradise

More sewing ideas and a project that’s almost done

I really could use some turtlenecks down for the fall already. And I have to finish a cropped wool jacket that I started last spring. But I’m loving the style (even though it came out not as the magazine photo, since I made the wrong size, oops) In it’s final finished form, it’ll be very, very cute. As one of my sewing friends says, it’s not like you’ve got the magazine page pinned to the back of the jacket; no one else will know what it was ‘supposed’ to have looked like!

So since there are no turtlenecks down. And I have lots knits. And lots of turtleneck patterns…whaddaya say? I have wanted to make one with the bishop sleeves. And maybe I’ll make it with the flared empire overlay!

So much sewing! So much fun!

Also on the hit list, an oversized clutch and a small wallet (hey they go together!) I want a streamlined wallet, that zips up, that also holds my checkbook and lots of cards. I saw one at a local boutique. Maybe I should just go get that.

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
