Sewing for charity part deux

PrettyMamaGiftSetHere they are! two of the lovely items I sewed for charity this week! I also sewed two scarves, one of which is being donated to go with a dress donated by another vendor.

The sling is a double-sided ring sling from japanese quilting cotton, and the bag is my own design.

It makes ME want to have another wee baby just to make more of this stuff! (though that is NO reason to spend twenty grand, risk both our lives and open myself up for more loss, but I digress…)

The sewing for this event has been really a lot of fun, and I’ve been inspired to sew, which is great.

I’m in the Stash Game at SewingMamas, so there is no fabric for me, but I don’t need any. And I can’t spend any money. But I can ogle and sketch, so that’s what I plan to do.

It’s been a lovely summer of sewing. Fall’s here now, and we’ll get going on that soon.

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
