Sewing groupies helped me mod a pattern

I drafted a pants pattern in GD this past weekend, basically a sloper. I have to adjust my measurements in general – crotch depth, and waist and hip measurements too, then try again with another muslin. It was a fun get together – we helped edit another sewists’ pants pattern, and look at mods to a top pattern she’d sewn before.

I’m going to probably focus on the coat redo this week, and cutting out the tie back top. Next week I’ll tackle the trouser jeans and the muslin for the drafted pants and the princess coat.

It’s definitely spring – wearing soft pastels, peep toes, and all of my fun coats.

I thought of a great coat – raspberry nylon taffeta in the Elizabeth Lee nursing coat with an oversized crinkled drawstring edge collar. A matching baby coat with ruffles on the hem and wrists, zip up front, ruffle on hood edge. But I don’t know that I’ll get to them this year. I do feel like I’ll nurse another so maybe I will invest in fabric at some point. Maybe next time I’m at Vogue this spring! Use my coupon!
