I used to live in paradise. In fact I owned Paradise (Graphic Design) for more than 15 years before forming three subsequent companies. And as for many of you, sewing (and crafting, thrifting and other creative pursuits) is paradise to me.
This space is to share the creative process (sometimes all we do is think about sewing, but that’s OK), a few tutorials, some inspiration and projects completed. All from a mama who loves fashion, but is a devoted penny-pincher.

I’m a graphic designer by education and profession. I own a marketing, web development and design firm in a midsize midwestern university town.
I have been sewing since I was 9. My first pattern was a denim wrap skirt in home ec summer recreation classes. I’m a mother to two young children, a daughter and a son. Both are learning to sew and often the first words out of their mouthes are “Mom, can we make this!?” We can make anything – and so can you!
