Dresses, cut

I cut out the two dresses from Christine Jonson’s matte jersey ‘poppy’ abstract print. I cut out Elizabeth Lee’s Nursing Classics A-line capsleeve dress for myself (NC302) and toddler dress (NC303) out of the same fabric. I still have at least a skirt-sized piece leftover from that, too. Maybe even a cowlneck top-sized piece, actually. I’ll have to dig out my cowl neck top pattern.

Tomorrow, I have to cut out the last project I brought with me, the Hot Patterns Riviera Jacket out of the teal knit I’ve used before for other projects in the past. And maybe I’ll finish all of this, but the hot projects are the brown knit top, then the dresses, then the training pants. I pushed the training pants back a bit – she just isn’t showing signs of readiness on the training pants. They’ll all get done this month, but without more snaps and more flannel, I can’t make too many more pairs anyway.

But today, after I signed up for the stash game, I was feeling a lot of pressure to go and sew at every opportunity. That can’t be what this stash game is about, because this vacation – this BEACH vacation, is only for a few more days. And after that, the beach is done until for next year. So I need to soak up THAT, and finish the sewing when I can, at night, or at home.

It’s motivation, but it’s not obligation. But I was excited to use the Sewing Mamas spreadsheet to plan out the sewing projects for the next week.
