It really is time to think fall

We get back from Orlando next weds. and by then it will be time to think fall sewing. I am going to throw down a micro-mini SWAP at SR this week – three items, two months. I have on my list a cape from the BWoF issue. I was going to use the scottish St. Andrews wool, but then I thought maybe I should save that for the Easy Coat. We’ll see, it’s still out there as a possibility. So beyond that, I need more pants, and a nursing top. I think the white Elizabeth Lee shirt, and a pair of either black wool pants (CJ trouser pants) or depending upon what the cape is made from, houndstooth trousers, perhaps the BWoF Marlene Dietrich pants from the most recent issue – the wide ones with cuffs.

Mom showed me a beautiful calf length camel wool coat she got me for my b-day. I’m excited. It’s a good non-dog-hair color. I need to knit some accessories though. And knitting for baby is on my list.

Tomorrow, we’re expecting a cool morning, so though I’ll wear the HP Sugar Babe jacket, with wide trouser jeans and a contrast top, I will also need a cape or wrap. I’m going with the vintage cream crochet capelet. And probably a vintage-look choker. It’s Wednesday, so it’s my second casual day of the week (I rarely schedule outside meetings).

And probably ballet flats. It’s a ballet flat kind of day.
