Knitting!

I’ve been off knitting some time. Just haven’t felt the mojo. But I recently knit two pairs of baby booties for the growing boy, and I made inches of progress on the Zuzu scarf. I plan to grab that old Misto wrap I started many miscarriages ago (well, that’s what it was!) and finish that up. I have a capelet in the plans, a baby sweater, and, well, a renewed interest. Maybe it’s the snow and cold this year. Who knows. I’m just enjoying it.

In a box of stuff that my mom sent from when I was a kid, I found a needlepoint (or maybe it’s another technique, it’s yarn on canvas) kit that I started, for a clutch purse with a very art-deco style zigzag pattern in burgundy, smoky pinks and mauve. It’ll be lovely lined in a deep plum silk duppioni and I’ve been working on it a row at a time.

That’s pretty much how life unfolds, a row at a time. When it’s done, you look back and say, oh yeah, that does (or doesn’t) look like the drawing/photo. And think about that, that’s how life works really.
