Vizcaya

So I”m posting on my other blog about Vizcaya. And I’m posting about wearing palazzo pants, a black maillot, big sunglasses and a wide brimmed hat at a villa (not MY villa, but you get the idea). Anyway, that brings me to summer sewing – I have a black maillot, but not a nursing one (maybe need to change that). I have linen to make new wide leg palazzo pants. I have a white, wide brimmed hat I got on our trip, and I have the Coach sunglasses, the diva shades.

Where’s my palazzo on the beach? My parents house (yeah, okay, but it’s lovely to sponge off M&D and they like to see us too).

Anyway, the vizcaya jacket

shown here is lovely, isn’t it? I love the cap sleeve and the fitted shape, and the color is luscious. Perfect summer jacket! I tried my hand at recreating some of the details in my design software, so all I need is to find some pretty yellow fabric (hmm, maybe the brocade?) in my stash and recreate it!
