Sew Paradise

Starting new sewing projects

Not letting grass grow under my feet at all…I have cut out the Christine Jonson Wrap Dress today in a bright big floral, and am in the process of cutting the Hot Patterns Metropolitan Homage Tote in a deep red home dec cotton. The lining is what I affectionately refer to as ‘bugs under a microscope’ cotton print from my friend Sue’s stash of Japanese cottons. She inherited these from a woman in her ASG group who passed away. Anyway, the fabric is weird and kinda creepy for clothing, but I thought it would be fun for a lining!

And then, I might make the free Mendocino Sundress.

After this, I promise, those home dec projects for the new house before we move!

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
