Sew Paradise

So last year I bought (size S) a swimsuit for nursing. It has a double-layered front with underlayer that has openings. I can nurse discreetly, cover my belly. But my belly is pretty trim now, and I think I want to bare some more skin. So I looked in my stash yesterday and found a tank top bikini pattern that can be easily adapted for nursing. In fact, it’ll probably be better because I can serge the neckline and armseyes right sides together, turn them inside out and have nice clean finished edges. I will have to add elastic to the underbust, or sew in a bra form (with openings).

And then there’s the panty part – I’ve never used swimsuit elastic OR serged it on, but I guess you just serge it on then fold & topstitch. We’ll see.  I have heard it’s quite easy to make them, and I should not be afraid!
