Sew Paradise

this just in…fashion new says capes and ponchos are back

Didn’t I say they never went out? I think so. Actually, I think when I was in Paris in 2007, I saw a plethora of wraps, ruanas, capes and ponchos. Belted, tossed over a shoulder, elegant. But, officially, they have returned. So I’ll grab all of mine (what seven, eight?) and plan to wear them as much as I can. Hmmm. I might have ten of them. Ten. yum. I’d like to make more. But I really don’t need more.

Tonight I’ve laid out six or seven patterns to trace – all three from Christine Jonson Patterns Travel Trio One, and Travel Trio Three.  I’m planning to begin sewing this next week, in the evenings. Pattern tracing now gets me ahead of the game.

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
