Sew Paradise

ASG group

I don’t know that I could have expected to show up at a local asg and see anything different than the national one – mainly women who are much older than I am, and a lot of quilts and surface designers. I like the surface design stuff, and the speaker last night had some gorgeous ideas (all of which I want to try!) not to mention that Anthropologie jacket I want to rip off and make for myself.

But I didn’t see anyone closer than 20 years to my age. And certainly no hip, well-dressed sewist like at the national conference either. I think people stepped it up a notch there, wearing their best-sewn finest.

So I’ll go back online, to, to Pattern Review, to Sewing Refuge. I have a sewing circle – they’re just not in person (and that is quite OK).

I'm Ann. I've been sewing since I was 9. My first project was a denim wrap skirt. Thrifting is a way of life for me - both eco-chic and financially savvy.
