I won this pattern in a contest last winter/spring-ish. It’s been slated for a bright coral, pink and purple abstract floral since then. And now, on the day with the first snow of the season, I finish a summery top! Yahoo! I’m behind, yes, I know. But I’ll wear it all winter under jacket or cardi, and take it with me to my spring break.
I’ll do a formal review over at PatternReview.com, but my initial impressions are this:
1) it is much more flattering on than I thought it would be. The band under the bust is flattering and slimming. I eliminated most of the pleating on the front, as I am not pregnant.
2) It’s longer than I thought it would be, and I like this.
3) Megan’s instructions for seam finishes really are nice, creating a professional look for the top.
I’ll be making more, for sure! It’s so flattering, I’ll probably continue to wear them past the nursing days. But those are a ways off yet. Babe may be 17 months, but he’s still nursing as much as ever!
