I have a sewing circle! Yes, indeed, two other friends invited me and another friend to join, so there are four of us, in age from me (39) on up to 60s. It’s a good group. We’re all making pants for the next meeting on March 15th. I’m going to draft a sloper (GD should do this) for pants, and alter the Pants to Die For at that next meeting.
I also cut out the Kwik Sew tankini last night. I got the EL nursing classics tank swimsuit too, have to cut that out tonight. I’ll sew them both this weekend, I think. Unlike when MY parents visit, it’s MORE work when my in laws visit. But I will find a bit of time to sew, I usually do.
Christine Jonson had a sale this week, too, and I got her black ottoman knit to make the flare leg pants in a pull-on style (this is sorta the redo on that brown version with the too-spongy thick ponte knit that I didn’t like).
I recommitted to the Spring Sewing Challenge – three garments (four with handbag) by April 30th with the in-person sewing group too.
