In my Crafters book club (which is becoming foodie book club – a peeve of mine) I saw a book about designing denim – mostly handbags. And then I remembered I have dad’s old shorts – and planned to overdye them superblack, stitch them in to bags. I think one tote and a clutch (clutch using the back patch pocket sections). The tote, well, is the tote, only in superblack, with a nice silky scarf wound through the belt loops and leather straps…
Gee, so many projects, so little time! I am posting late after a long day and evening so I’d better go. But I’m loving concepting my SWAP and these latest projects. For me lately, nursing the baby has been so enjoyable – meditative even – thinking about sewing, those nursing hormones surging, as my little nursling closes her eyes and drifts off to napland.
Even if I never sew it all (I’ll never sew it all) I’m having such fun designing in my head!
