So I’m trolling for bloggers for my client and stumble upon a blog about bike chicks. Not biker chicks, as in Harleys, but bicycle chicks. Stylish bicycle chicks! No lie! If any of these women sew AND have kids AND bike I’m gonna fall outta my chair.
And I really must get on my bike. I can do this on Fridays (the peanut does go only to day care), though I will have to do it solo and haul that miserable trailer. I may have to figure out how to ride a tall/small tandem, too. Hmmm. Maybe this is not practical til spring when Peanut has grown into the tagalong and I can afford a bike seat for little Guy.
Anyway, at least I can ride around our town, if not into downtown to work. I’m posting Simply Bike on my blogroll. I’ve also added a couple of other bike style blogs on here, too.
I believe in a fully integrated life. My philosophy (perhaps some of you share) is that I love my kids, my sports, my fashion and my technology, I think that I should be able to do all of the above all at once. So, today I’m driving home from a meeting thinking of a sport poncho to run in, I’m at my desk at home finding stylish bike bloggers, family bike bloggers and I’m nearly dizzy from a superb meeting with a fashion designer client this afternoon. It’s been a good day of feeding my brain with lots of new and neat ideas.
I waffle on what precisely is my style (it varies) but part of that is this sport-life style that supports biking. But, also I remember Italy, where people just bike in whatever they are wearing. Chanel suit and stilettos with leather satchels and all.
