Cut the Sew Baby twirly dress and the reversible sundress tonight. The reversible sundress is in two different fabrics – a red with butterflies cotton and a blue small-graphic print. The twirly dress is the floral linen I have in a sling (I intend to cut up the sling to make a dress for a friend’s daughter). I didn’t like this fabric for a sling – it seemed a bit ‘nubby’ for a soft, tender baby’s skin. But I do love it for the skirt of this dress.
If there are more babies in my future, I’ll reuse the rings in a new sling then.
One more thing to cut – a set of placemats and napkins out of the Proveçale cotton. And then, I’ll be sewing tomorrow during naptime and after bedtime. I may not finish it all (unlikely) but it’ll be cut and ready to sew this week.
Peanut’s been into mama’s button jar too, so I may finally get to begin sewing when she’s awake and around, too. Sewing Mamas told me this day would come. And one has posted pics of her 4yo sewing on her own Hello Kitty machine, so Peanut’s own sewing may be in just a few short years!
