And also the linen/rayon for pants (this time with a biiiig hem allowance so I can let them down as it shrinks!) So I’m committed. On the swimwear fabric, I got a lovely burgundy solid and a turquoise solid. I wanted prints but they didn’t have any locally, and I’m kinda committed on time to buying locally. So, now to buy swimwear elastic, and get sewing!
the linen/rayon pants I think I am going to draft myself. But I will compare patterns to similar patterns (like the wide leg pants from Christine Jonson) just to be sure they’re not too full.
I’m confident I can sew this swimsuit well. I’m using Kwik Sew, which is well-respected for swimwear, I’ve chosen an easy style (bandeau tankini top and standard scoop bottom) and the nursing alterations are very simple, an overlapping flap on the shelf bra.
