Boy, it’s amazing. Just looking at Christine Jonson’s web site, or Hot Patterns, i realize I have so many of theirs – and so many great things to sew! It’s fun to imagine all the new things I could sew. I can’t wait to dig in, actually.
On the cutting table is the denim BWoF dress which I think I’m putting up and will sew on my vacation in August (yeah, I need to figure out how to get my machines up north in a tiny car).
What I’m substituting is the Hot Patterns jacket that matches the Italian silk pants, and theĀ BWoF top from this issue. Or perhaps a nursing sundress. Not sure what is going to end up on the must sew list first.
I am not willing to let summer go. Not at all. Anything I sew now is for now. I’ll sew fall in the fall. It’s just my thing. I need to focus on sewing for NOW. for living for now, not thinking ahead. If I do that, my perception will be that summer ended very soon.
Besides I’ve got vacation to think about. Two weeks at the beach. Farm markets, sewing, beading, bike riding, showing my daughter how to make sand castles (and not eat the sand while she’s at it). Knitting a wrap that is taking forever, but that’s OK. It’s going to be a lovely two weeks, cannot wait!
