I’m committing to knitting later at night when sewing is too dangerous with a sleepy brain. And I’ve got a new way to organize my stash – in a mesh hanging bag system. I’ll be able to see it, it’ll be open to the air (I know moths can be a problem in sealed plastic containers…) and I’ll free up those boxes to store the stash scraps that I’ll be sewing down throughout this season.
Tomorrow I must check all the fabric stash against the sewing plan to see what I may need to purchase. I may have to change plans if the intended stash doesn’t meet the sewing. But I’m checking out all my craftista websites and blogs for good ideas, and will find something that will work for the fabrics I have.
I’ve made this commitment because of how much stuff I have, because it will save money we desperately need, and because it’s just a lovely thing – for me, the maker, for the recipient AND for the earth.
