What do you think? I am willing to try sewing voodoo if that’s what it takes to shake this raining and 60 degree weather we’ve suffered all spring! I bought white all-cotton thread to sew up three garments in white muslin for me, and my two little ones. Then, I intend to dye these (yes, good ole fashioned tie dye) and then, maybe then, summer will return. But first, I lamented not making more slings for myself, then tonight, my four year old silk duppioni sling sheared almost in half when I went to adjust the rings. Thank goodness I had a hand on the baby at the time. Some time this past year I accidentally put this in the dryer, and it hastened it’s demise, I fear. No more dryer, I promise. I ordered 2.5 yards of silk from Vogue Fabric Store in Evanston, IL online. I’ll use my present rings (black). This is my trusty black sling, the one I use most often, more often than any other baby carrier. So I’ll have to rely on the Ergo right now as my other silk sling is in the care of a friend with a newborn while I sew HER a new sling in gray silk duppioni.
