So I’m thinking of skiing leggings and another nursing sports bra. And I’m surfing the Christine Jonson site and see basewear one – leggings and a crop cami that looks like the nursing sports bra! Fabric AND patterns I already have.I don’t need super support – I’m not a jogger any more. This sports bra (same style, that I bought) is just two layers of wicking lycra fabric. Perfect for cycling, yoga, skiing, walking. And I have the sport stretchy fleece for the leggings. The ones I have on now are shiny and worn on the rear end. Next year I’ll need new tights (or for spring cycling over bike shorts). also the wrap skirt in the wicking print would be fun for over my bike shorts. I’m excited about sewing for spring and summer. For sports, for the baby. She is going to get a Provencale fabric design tiered sundress (from a 2-year old BWoF issue) and pantaloons. Mama will make a shower curtain, and place mat/napkin set for this summer on the patio. And there’s the new black and white batik fabric for couch throw pillows, to spruce up the living room.I’m really glad I love to sew. There are so many patterns I have – from sporty loungewear (the butterick with the hoodie dress and pants) that’s way beyond my college sweats, to pajamas, to great outfits. This fall, there’s a mama and me faux ermine capelet and handwarmer muff. Baby’s will have a hood, and a muff, mama’s will have a matching hat. Both will be lined in flannel-backed satin. It’s going to be a fun year for sewing, I’m very excited about it! But I have to be just as committed to time to sew as I am for my health. And I can squeeze in at least an hour per day after the baby goes to bed. I might have to plan ahead (roll out the cabinet into the living room). But it is possible. right now I think I’ll go knit for a bit.
