I’ve written down three challenges for myself over the next few years:
Challenge 1: The Vogue Elements Wardrobe: One Year. 22 patterns. All stash.
Challenge 2: The thing that started this blog: the “I can sew it faster than washing it” pant challenge.
Challenge 3: Italian Cafe – finally sew the wndowpane wool from Florence. Brew cappucino. Select pattern. Cut muslin. Brew cappucino. Fit. brew cappucino. Cut fashion fabric. Sew. Listen to Italian cafe songs and language on iPod.
Challenge 4: French cafe – sew the ‘French’ poncho. Brew coffee. Cut pattern/fabric. Put on French language and music on iPod, sew.
I try not to get overwhelmed. There are so many patterns – over 200 in my stash, plus all the years of BWoF that I could sew, or the Garment Designer software. But I have to think that they are possibilities. It’s fun to daydream. I might not sew it all (I probably won’t) but that is OK. It’s fun to dream!
I will pick away at them slowly. Right now, the most important patterns to sew are Christine’s, and the nursing tops. And things I need in-season, like the ski leggings.
