I took another look at this pattern that I bought in the fall of ’07 (was it really that long ago?)Vogue 8642, it’s a nice one. I really should make this pattern this winter yet. I have some nice coordinating drapey knits in teal, aqua and gray in my stash. And the fronts are self lined so that makes the knit hems easy. Though with Pam Erny’s tute on stabilizing hems with Solvy before sewing, that might just make that tunneling on the twin needle hemming go away.
Okay, so to focus. Swimwear. Then, I can sew anything else I want to until March, when I’m committed to the challenge of the boucle Princess Seam Jacket, the dark trouser jeans and the long sleeved tie back top as my coordinates.
I’m going to try new techniques and see where they lead me!
