Tango cardigan, wide leg pants, UFO shell

The tango cardigan is coming out super fab. I have to do some understitching of the front facings, but it’s done.

As are the white ITY knit wide leg pants, save the hem. Very drapey, very summery white pants. Definitely beige underwear pants though 😉 I’m not as happy with these – I think I need a smaller size in the pattern, and a bigger one in the band, to prevent gathering. But they’re fine (that is, I’ll wear them at home) for casual wear. If I’m making a better pair, I’m going to have to adjust these things the next time I make this. However, the wide leg adjustment – 2″ on each of the two sideseams, was perfect for these pants! I cut a size 10 (all of this is for future reference)

And I dug out a UFO – a split neck red knit top, and plan to do some topstitching and leave that one simple. It came out well, very simple, just one of those things you have in your closet and use a lot.

I have out the Kwik Sew gold and brown jaquard to cut and sew too. That’s the wear with skinny jeans and black leather jacket to dinner and U2 concert with friends top.

Speaking of jeans, I do need a new pair of jeans or two, but I’m debating making some. I think I will start with new trouser jeans (and cut up the ones that did not fit to make into a shaped, seamed pencil skirt). When I cut up the skirt, I’ll cut open the sideseams, add a panel on each side and continue to use the front fly as it exists now (because I did like how that came out).  I have more of the denim to make the flare leg trouser pants.
