I recut a fourth (fifth?) panel and voila, almost a perfect match for the other side! It looks great, it’s done. It calls for topstitching, around the collarband, but I am not sure I’ll do that.
I will post a photo this week. It’s lovely! I’m glad I redid it.
I also worked on the albatross of a duvet cover – hopefully THIS closure works. I’ll have to add some appliques to the summer side to cover the ripped out squares where the buttons pulled out and I repaired them. I’m thinking some sort of geometric shape – stars perhaps, the nautical theme? dots? something.
I’m also working on some mending and UFOs this week. I need to get some of these undone projects to a done state before I start the next project or two.
