And other toddlerisms. This week, he’s fascinated by the book Ten Little Ladybugs which has plastic ladybugs on the pages, and the bug toys at the park today, so everything is ‘wadybugs!’ whenever he sees a bug. When he sees an actual ladybug, it will be fun 😉
I know that I miss babyhood (my husband does not) but I love this age too, the toddler running, the learning to walk backwards (!) and the language – the funny language that toddlers learn.
I so love my kids. So! Oh, I’m so incredibly blessed. This summer our garden, like our children, blooms. This is what I wished for!
This weekend was a hot sunny May weekend, not unlike the spring that I had Mr. C. Last spring was cold and rainy and even summer was almost not here at all. But the spring he was born, hot, sunny, just like this. Our garden is bursting with new plants – we dream of pesto and salsa and fresh sauteed kale. Steamed broccoli, Zucchini boats, Mojitos and kraft brewed beer (indeed, there are hops growing in my garden!) We have decorated near and on our deck with flowers, which has made a significant improvement in it’s appearance. I’m still using the card table (always with a tablecloth!) and plastic deck chairs, but it’s frugal. Maybe our summer table is four wood chairs, mismatched, but painted with Valspar brightly colored paint. And a table with the same? Must consider this.
