This afternoon, I’m reaching (not far, just across my desk) and I feel and hear rrrrip! My first thought is the lining of my BWoF cropped jacket has torn out. but then I realize it’s the 20-year old Ann Taylor red tunic blouse underneath – and in fact, it’s a major hole, I can’t take off the jacket even at work! That’s going into the trash. The fabric itself has torn (and this top is OLD, frankly, and it’s cost per wearing has to be in the micropennies by now).
So I have a red cardi and a red mock t-neck to fill it’s place. But no long tunic styles to wear under the cropped jackets. I will have to look through stash – mainly what I want are brighter colors under my suit-y neutrals.
I debate making more nursing tops. But she spends the late afternoons/evenings at home every day nursing, and if I’m not wearing a nursing top, she plays with my belly button, the other breast, etc. It’s annoying. The shirts keep her contained to the task at hand, at least somewhat.
so, look through the stash for brights to make into a tunic (maybe some of the new Japanese cotton fabrics?) and get sewin’
Simple stuff though, tops, dresses, knit pants. No more plaid matching and lining things right now!
