Do you catalog your Make Nine garments? This is what I sewed this month – the Make Nine edition including a running total for the year!
Two quick wins with these two garments, the Nikko mock turtleneck and the Evie turtleneck split long tunic. These both took me very little time to sew, were very satisfying. I am all about the fast, satisfying sew. I am almost done with an equally satisfying pair of wide leg comfy trousers in a dark teal babywale cord which will coordinate with both of these items.
From left, the Evie Tunic. This is a Sonia Estep Designs pattern (it’s under their Patreon subscription). It was available for a release purchase for one day and I got the ad served to me and then snapped it up. They usually release their Patreon patterns later too, but I’m not above buying it for one month, downloading a bunch and then letting the subscription lapse. The Nikko is a favorite and this is my third make of this. I didn’t even use a serger for this (for either) because mine is being temperamental and I haven’t had the patience to look at it thoroughly.
This brings my total to three garments.

I sewed the corduroy pants from the Made by Rae Rose pattern, in babywale teal cord from my Local Fabric Store (LFS) Seams Fabric. This brings me to garment 4 of 9.

In August, I sewed this vintage knit pant and tee set from fabric from my LFS. I love the result, and used a piece of fabric from my scrap stash for the body of the tee shirt, turned the yoke pieces sideways to get a different orientation of fabric. The set is fun, comfortable and unique. I am up to garments 5 and 6 for the year!

I sewed this soon-to-be-released cropped wide sleeve top from Ann Normandy Patterns using an ikat print woven fabric from my LFS, @SeamsFabric. The top is super easy to sew and has two necklines, two hem cut lengths and can even be lengthened to dress length! Bonus, this top goes with everything in my wardrobe, haha! This is garment 7 of 9!

With garments 8 and 9 on the horizon, I’ve cut out a Ready to Sew Pleat pant in a zigzag jaquard from my LFS, and that should be done this weekend, it’s a fast sew.
Garment 9, ta daaaaa! Will be the August top/dress (dress!) in a TBD fabric.
But I’m not stopping there! I have also on my list/almost done, some Ann Normandy wide leg pants, a Remy Raglan tee and a Wiksten Unfolding jacket. So I might top out at 12 (or more) items this year, a really wonderful thing. The Mile End has been on my list forever, that might also happen.
I also finished a pair of shorts in linen, the Ann Normandy Bermuda shorts in a gray linen from Fabric-Store.com.
How are you doing on your Make Nine this year?
