Deepika at PatternReview fixed my widget code YIPPEE (the tech support at PR is second to none). So now my pattern reviews show up. This really creates incentive for me to post things I’ve sewn…and by extension, to sew!
I’ve been organizing my patterns using my photo software. I have a mac, but (gasp) I don’t use iPhoto. I prefer to use my camera’s software (in this case Olympus master) since it’s got some more sophisticated photoshop-like tools. So I’ve been taking photos of my recent pattern purchases and putting them in my sewing pattern album. I have a lot of patterns, probably 200. At the rate of 1 per month, say, that’s uhm (higher level math for a graphic artist) 200/12=16 years. 16 YEARS?? I’d better get sewing! Baby E. will sew these before I will!
And I’d better not buy any more patterns (that search I just did on Ebay. For Vogue elements? yeah.)
The other day as I walked the dog I was lamenting the ‘perfect’ friend. I define the perfect friend as a foil for me – stylish, fashionista, loves sewing, loves babies, loves sports. But in truth, I’m looking for a clone of myself, if I look for that, and that would be no fun. At least I’d like one F2F sewing friend though. You know, an enabler, like thrifting friend S. ;D
So, really, given that I have sixteen years of patterns to sew, I don’t need an enabler friend.
