I’m taking the Hot Patterns tote up north, as well as the SewBaby Twirly dress and leggings patterns to finish up there at Mom’s place. I’ll post a pic of the dress this weekend, since it’s going with me too. I’m wearing it again this week, I like it so much!
Christine Jonson’s patterns are just so easy and so much fun. This time, learning from a Threads article about this same dress, I ‘hemmed’ the edges and bottom edge with the soft knit edging (the name escapes me now, the kind that comes in the roll that you stick on and press?) Something by sulky. Anyway, it’s very thin/lightweight and it pressed marvelously, the matte jersey. The dress is swishy and pretty. I feel great in it!
I may bring the cutting project for the Riviera jacket too, but we’ll see. Maybe not. I think I’d like to have two projects to completion before I start another.
Off to pack up sewing stuff at least, we leave tomorrow for the holiday weekend.
